James started out making Septic tanks in 2018 for DrainsCo, shortly after he was offered an apprenticeship in Drainlaying and he hasn’t looked back since, gaining the experience and qualifications needed to take himself through to Business ownership in a DrainPro Franchise. James has the proven determination it takes to succeed with sporting successes Captaining XI Hockey, being a NHL Hockey Rep and part of the Counties Manukau Cricket XI.
James still enjoys his sports, with the addition of some hunting and fishing, but also has a keen interest in Aviation. We’re looking forward to supporting James on the next stage of his Career and helping him to achieve his goal of growing a successful business that he can be proud of.

For me, it was an easy choice to work with Nathan Williamson (3rd generation Drainlayer) and the established DrainPro Franchise. Having worked for his father for the past 5 years In Auckland, I know the systems and processes they use are efficient and effective, knowing that I can access this knowledge is priceless! For me starting out by myself, it would be near impossible to advertise and market the way DrainPro does, so the idea that being part of a nationally recognized brand will only add growth and value to my own business. I also like the idea of having a Franchise manager to keep me focused on the important things in my business while I am still out on the tools working during the day.
